Our Programs

  • A group of young children stand in a line outdoors, listening to a man talking and giving a demonstration in a vegetable garden on a farm or school garden. The children are dressed casually, some with boots, and are focused on the man. The sky above is partly cloudy with patches of blue, and there are green trees and a field in the background.

    Primary Program

Homestead students as early as age 3 begin their experiential and outdoor learning at our farm-based 100 acre campus in Glen Spey, NY. As our students continue through 6th grade, they are immersed in opportunities to develop their academic, social, and individual selves through Montessori based learning.

  • A group of people working together outdoors on a project involving a stone structure covered with newspaper, with some individuals using soil or mud, and various tools and supplies nearby.

    Secondary Program

As students begin the incredible transformation of adolescence, they are welcomed to our town-based campus in Hurleyville, NY. At Homestead Collaborative College High School, we offer a robust 7th grade to 12th grade program with an option to graduate with a SUNY Sullivan Associate Degree. Our holistic approach provides students daily opportunities for new levels of independence, depth, and application.

  • Children sitting on the grass in a circle during an outdoor class or storytime in a forested area, with a woman reading a book to them.

    After School Program

Open to all students ages 3-12, our after school program takes full advantage of our Glen Spey campus to offer a rotating selection of enriching activities such as music, crafts, sports, and nature explorations for students to learn new skills, have fun, and enjoy the company of their peers.

  • Summer Session

Summer Session is our six-week summer program for students ages 3 to 12. Taking place on our Glen Spey campus, we invite children to explore the wonders of nature through hands-on learning, creative play, and scientific discovery. From foraging and gardening to outdoor art and woodland adventures, each day will connect students more deeply to the land — and to their own curiosity.
