Michelle Ahart-Bosland
Michelle Ahart-Bosland first discovered Montessori when she and her husband were looking for alternative education for their children. Captivated by the warmth of the Homestead School community and the Montessori philosophy’s respect for the child, they soon enrolled their three sons into the program. What began as a search for the right educational path for her children quickly grew into a personal calling, leading Michelle to begin her own Montessori training and join the Homestead School in 2008.
Michelle is Montessori trained and certified as a Lower Elementary teacher (ages 6–9) and an Orton Gillingham trained educator. She holds a B.A. in English Literature from New York University and a Master’s degree in Educational Psychology and Quantitative Methods from the University at Buffalo.
In 2021, Michelle joined the Administrative team at Collaborative College High School (CCHS) to expand her work beyond the classroom. She now leads the operations at CCHS, supporting students, faculty, and families while ensuring that the school’s Montessori values are upheld in every aspect of its work.
