My name is Ben Mawhorter and I’m happy to be back at the Homestead offering my service to the school in a multi-faceted role. I am a professionally trained “North Indian tabla” player with 40 years of experience in performance, recording and teaching. I’m also knowledgeable in Antiques with an emphasis on vintage Fountain Pens. My children Bryce and Sonia are both Homestead Kids and we have been a part of the “Homestead community” in some capacity for over fifteen years. In my spare time I study the Ukrainian language and the Kobzar, paint, draw, play piano, sitar, guitar and drums of all kinds including the kitchen sink!
