Peter and Marsha Comstock |
The school's directors, Peter and Marsha Comstock, are certified teachers with experience in private and public education since 1970. Mr. Comstock holds a B.A. in French literature from the University of Washington, teacher certification from the University of Puget Sound and two degrees in Montessori education from St. Nicholas College, London England. Mrs. Comstock holds a B.A. in Art education from the University of Washington. A working artist, she has taught children and adults of all ages. To these credentials, the Comstocks bring their experience in gardening and farming, animal husbandry, building trades, handicrafts, sports, and outdoor lore to provide children with exceptional opportunities for creative learning.
Jack and Nisha joined the Homestead in 2001. Jack has a B.A. in Religious Studies from Colby College, a Masters in Education from Endicott College as well as Montessori certifications to teach ages 3-12. Nisha has a B.A. in Psychology from Miami University of Ohio, a Masters in Education from Endicott College as well as Montessori certifications to teach ages 3-12. She recently received her second certification focusing on Montessori Upper Elementary.
