"If Trees Could Talk"

A Play in the Woods by the Second Grade Class

On a chilly October day the second grade class put on a play in the woods.

"If Trees Could Talk" is a play about two girls who fall from a tree and dream about being lost in a backward forest. There, they encounter friends who speak and act backwards.

At last they come upon a baby, whom they discover to be their friend Matthew. Matthew holds a sign that reads "Emoh ot". And when asked for direction, Matthew flips over the sign to read "To Home". At this, the backward dream ends, and the girls find themselves safely returned to where they had fallen asleep..
